What i like about Cobbs is it's location. Right there on Columbus in North Beach, you can't ask for a better spot for a night on the town.

While the prices for everything on the drink menu are still high, the friendly staff here compared to The Punchline is much better. These guys actually smile.

I've seen Dave Attel, Gilbert Gottfried, and Greg Fitzsimmons here... and they were all hilarious. I'd definitely come back here for the right comedian.

Last night I went to see one of my favourite comedians of all time with Amanda, Adam M, Jon and Dave. If you want to have a BLAST at a comedy club, you should really invite these people out with you. Amanda, being the amazing girl she is, stood in line for like, an hour to get us the number 2 slot--which secured us a great place in the front row.

The burgers, brownies, and fries were absolutely delicious--as were the drinks, except they lose a star for a) not having enough servers, although they do a helluva job, and b) for not making the drinks strong enough.

The openers were absolutely hilarious--which, is weird. Because they never are. They usually suck, and part of you just wants to yell out *CRICKETS*. Not this time--I was laughing so hard I couldn't feel my sides anymore.

Note to self: If you're going to invite Pablo Francisco to Power Exchange (because you're a nice girl who just wanted to let him have new material, not actually want to SLEEP with him because he really isn't your type), you should probably have a better opener than, "Hey go to Power Exchange with us! It's a public SEX forum that's hilarious!, it's like Pirates of the Caribbean only everyone wants your booty!* (tm Janney B, even though I fucked it up royally)".

Let the comedians stick to the comedy, MKAY JAIME?

Have been here on several occasions and it's ok. I like the convenient location on Columbus in the North Beach district. Perfect for a show and dinner date. Fabulous Italian restaurants in walking distance from the club. But moving right along...

Yeas!

They book great talent
The ticket prices are affordable

Nays...

The place is cramped. You and your date are literally sharing a two person table with two other strangers. (it would be different if you were in a theater type seating being next to strangers, but it can be a bit awkward.

Not a lot of wiggle room. If you or your date are large or long limb-ed people, you would definitely be uncomfortable. They may make it through the night and deal with their uncomfortableness for your sake or because the headliner was hella funny, but chances are, they won't want to return.

2 drink min. per person

Cheers!

People are so weird. I was leaving Cobbs when Cynthia S's party (below) was talking to the Cobbs staff. I don't know what happened before the end of the night - but they were all acting like crazy people - refusing to pay their bill.  Lots of shouting.  I think the police were even called. And they did not even pay for thier bill - Mike Epps (the comedian on stage) did ! Just so they would stop freaking out.  I could not believe they let the person they just watched entertain them ALSO pay for their stuff. Seems tacky.
Makes me wonder if the rest of their story is true.

Anyway, my experience was great.  I went their with my boyfriend and his friends.  We got there early, had  good seats, some yummy drinks (Mine was a sexy side car)  and a burgers.  Good and fast service.  It did take  a while when I asked to get some water, but other than that it was a pleasant and funny night. (until we were leaving and had to walk by crazy town)

I would definately go back to Cobbs - they have lots of funny shows coming up.

My favorite kind of stand-up is in a small venue, preferably in a bar with a tiny stage. I expect to pay a cover charge, but shouldn't be forced to buy drinks in addition. Everything this comedy club ain't.

My first outing to Cobb's... and would say I'm unlikely to go back unless there's a super hot act. The round tables (seats 4) are so impractical since who arrived with exactly 4 people? In front of us was a group of 6, who 'joined' two tables together, next to them was a group of 7 with 3 tables. We (2) shared a table with 3 guys we didn't know.

The crowd? Comedy Channel viewers. Likes physical comedy. Silly gags about pimps, ho's and mediocre TV ads. Maybe its the night I went.

So what was my biggest gripe about this place? $25 ticket + $15 min. drinks = 1.5 hour worth of entertainment. That equation doesn't make sense.

A bunch of us went to see Rex Navarrete here and we had a blast.  We arrived about a half an hour before the show began and we had the drinks start flowing.

The staff was friendly, showed us a few tables to sit and took our orders over and over and over again.

The show was hilarious and we had a good time.

We were able to meet and greet with Rex and also purchase his newer dvd and took pictures.

Overall, a great experience and a fun night.

Very spacious venue that accommodated a full house upstairs and downstairs.  We came here for the 8 pm show to see Pablo Francisco.  It's been years since my first visit here, so it was good to be back.  We arrived maybe 15 minutes before the show started, and the place was packed.  We opted to sit upstairs, rather than on the lower level tucked in the corner, because we were still able to get a full view of the stage from above.  Not as intimate as the Punchline, but I think I prefer Cobb's venue.

This is too funny! I was sitting right next to Cynthia S.
I would say if you see her and her "friends" coming to your club, restaurant or bar then lock the doors and don't even let them in. I felt awful for her poor waitress and the manager that walked over and tried to accommodate them. I heard the manager offer them (5) free tickets to another show that they of course turned down...and when I was leaving I even heard them calling the police and refusing to pay any of their bill.

I thought the show was hillarious, food was good for casual grub and the drinks were fun and delicious . My only complaint was being seated next to Cynthia S. and her "friends"

Went and saw Kevin Nealon last night.  My boyfriend and I chose to go to the later 10:00pm show instead of rushing to make it at 8ish.  The bad thing was that for this later show, the doors were scheduled to open at 10:00 and the show was supposed to start at 10:15.  Both times were pushed back a bit, which was only a little frustrating because the whole audience had to wait in a long line that stretched around the building for a good amount of time.
Once we got inside though everything was good.  Yummy mozzarella sticks, yummy french martinis, and great comedians.  The food and drinks were a little pricey, but tasty enough to be worth it.  Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return to Cobb's.

Parking is a pain in the butt. Seating is absurd. I don't like sitting with people I do not know. Call me anti-social. 2 drink minimum. The drinks sucked. It was so bad I said "$%^& it give me a soda" server kept losing credit cards. Terrible.

I did see greg Behrendt who was AMAZING! Started the show on time. Met everyone and took pictures with everyone. Sweet guy. Genuinely respects his fans.

Comedy shows are a great way to spend an evening. I was recently at Cobb's to see Pablo Francisco. I showed up 45 mins before the show and got a seat in the front row. The show lasted about an hour and a half and the openers were actually pretty damn funny. Cobb's always seems to attract the big names and this is a great place to catch them on tour.

I saw Pablo Francisco here last Thursday and it was awesome. I don't know why everyone thinks Cobbs is dirty/gross. I really liked the venue. It's clean, but why are comedy clubs so cold? They turn the AC up like crazy.

Anyway,  doors opened at 7:00 pm and there wasn't a huge line or anything (but it was a Thursday night). The usher(ess?) brought us to our seats -- and lucky us, we got to sit all the way in the front! I was prepared to be victimized (that sounds dirty) that night, but the comedians actually stuck to their material instead of preying on audience members.

Pablo was amazing.  He probably had like 10 - 1000 watt lights shining on his face and I could see him sweating profusely. It was hot.  The opening acts were really good, too. They had some comedian from Last Comic Standing and gave him his 5 minutes of fame.

But be forewarned about the retards who live in SF and decide to go to comedy shows -- there was that annoying drunk off her ass woman who had a crackwhore-Ja Rule laugh, with a defected voicebox--- with a case of severe laryngitis,  who interrupted Pablo during his act. That biatch.

I digress. I love Cobbs -- it's in a great location, good service, cool venue and I'd definitely come back.

I was at Cobb's last night to see Mike Epps. I'd passed this place many times while jogging, but never actually seen a show there. I'm a big fan of Mike Epps, so I was excited to see him in my own backyard. The club was great (we actually bought half-priced tickets on Goldstar.com) and the waitress was pretty attentive for how many people were there.

Mike and his opening act Dominque were very funny and the night was great. I'd definitely go back to see another act there. Hopefully soon!

I was just at Cobbs last night to see Mike Epps.  The show was fantastic!  As long as I'm laughing, it's all good.  Drinks came quickly, which is a good thing for such a large venue.

Here are the downsides to this comedy club:

First, parking is a hassle, no joke.  But that's not really their fault.

Second, the security staff at Cobbs is lame.  They treated us like we were criminals.  We were standing at the back of the club waiting on some friends and they had the nerve to put their hand on my back saying "what's going on over here, you need to wait over there..."   Last time I checked, I thought a comedy club was supposed to be fun.

Lastly, it does have this sort of dark and dingy look.  I think they need to remodel for sure.

I would only recommend Cobbs if you're going to see someone that's hot.  Otherwise, I would not "drop" in on a whim.

I had a great time at Cobb's last night (I saw Pablo Francisco and Ashley Fils-Aime!) but I have to comment on their service. Our waitress rushed through us, and was almost nonexistent for most of the show. We had ordered an appetizer, and it didn't come with any of the dips listed on the menu, and they didn't give us any napkins. When we placed our second drink order, she rushed through us again and missed one of the beers we ordered. It was just a nuisance, having to wait for her to come around. I understand it's busy, but it almost felt like we were a hassle to her.
Other than that, the venue seemed clean and we had a great view of the stage. I'll probably be back.

Behavior police in effect, with the implied threat that you will be kicked out
Server looses our credit card for most of the show tainting fully enjoying  the comedic skillz of one Dave Chappelle.
In the back of our minds we are worried if she's gonna get a our card back before everyone gets up and leaves.
Servers spread thin and very slow, (it's a tough job fo sho)
Small tables not cleared in timely manner
Intimate seating, like here sit at a small table with another couple
Drunk broad next to us who kept on whipping out her cell, then challenging the staff. (After the 2nd time, you shoulda kicked her out staff), her man then rushed her out while she was projectiling...

People who frequently comedy clubs likely spent a large portion of their lives watching cable/tv/movies

A little more about the cc loss
Knowing our server's slammed we asked to close out first.
More time goes by and we see her doing other cc txns of ppl who closed out later
She finally comes over, was sure she gave it to us, starts looking on the floor..
Mgr comes over and shows us signed receipt. (wasnt me)
Wouldnt admit it was given to someone else and takes another hour+to get it back, hope nothing bad happened in the mean time

Lesson learned, always pay cash (I didnt bring enuf this time)

I'm a bit of a harsh grader, so don't think 3 stars is bad. I like this place and feel it serves a great purpose. Most of the shows have been very good (tonight was Christian Finnegan and he was very good), they don't drive you crazy about drink orders, and you can usually get really cheap tickets from Goldstar. It appears they may have upgraded the interior a bit since my last visit as it now does not look quite as trailer-parkish as it once did. The stage now has a nice curtain back-drop instead of the high-school painted scenery effect. The parking is a bit of a downer, but people should be on public transportation anyway.

I digg stand up comedy, and cobbs brings in some of the best. economically stand up comedy is a better bang for your buck.
So you go to the movie theater to see a comedy, you pay around ten bucks and get 4 good laughs. so thats roughly $2.50 a laugh
Now you go to cobbs and pay 20 bucks and get ten good laughs.
Thats only $2.00 a laugh.
The math adds up to see stand up comedy to get your laughs.
Plus you can enjoy a drink at a comedy club . (sometimes required)

DO NOT GO TO COBBS.  I have went to Cobbs on occasion to see headliners.  The other night I went to see Mike Epps and Dominique who were hilarious, but it was hard to concentrate on the show.  Do not go if you want to have a wonderful night out.  My two friends and I made this mistake.  We showed up dressed, directly after work, without eating dinner, paid $20 for parking and waited in a god awful line.  The staff and security are very rude and never show any politeness.  When we were seated I informed the guy the table was wet; he gave me a total attitude like I was stuck up and told me to sit at the next table.  We waited through the whole first act for the waitress to come over.  We ordered all our food and drinks at once, because we saw how understaffed they were, and how rude our waitress was.  We then waited for our drinks, like another half hour.  We tried to get our waitress' attention, but she ignored us.  Finally, after two hours we informed her we didn't get our food.  She said she'd check, then said your ticket was lost and the kitchen was closed.  We asked the girl for some complimentary drinks and she said she would bring us some complimentary water.  After several incidences we were mad, and hungry, and disgusted.  We got our bill and there were several things on our bill which was not ours.  Naturally, we wanted to speak to management, but they were crooks that were just as rude.  There was no accommodations made, nor was any kind of apology given.  We paid the tab, but we will NEVER go back to Cobbs again.  And I am warning other people, the atmosphere is blah, and the whole club doesn't know how to entertain.  As a San Francisco native, the atmosphere and the service and elegance of Punchline far out due Cobbs anyway.  DO NOT GO TO COBBS.  I work in a bar, so I know what it is like to deal with mean, or rude, or drunk customers (which we totally were not).  We always buy our customers food, or give complimentary drinks to these customers, because it is cheap in comparison to people having a good attitude about our place.

Yeah, parking is a great b*tch. Especially due to the fact that I had a cast on one of my legs during the show we went to (Rex Navarette) course I just got dropped off.

Pre-ordered our tickets and had to pick them up. They had a rule that you weren't allowed outside again after you got the tickets or rather it was frowned upon.

It was my first comedy club experience, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. Looked like a run of the mill comedy club. Pretty dark inside and the seats are very close to each other. Men's restroom is also located upstairs.

As I was waiting for the rest of my group to join me after finding parking the waitress asked if I wanted anything and I asked for 4 waters to start us off and she gave a mean look.

First off I KNOW there's a 2 drink minimum that does not include water  but maybe I just didn't want a drink yet! jerk. haha and so the waters arrived 35 minutes later. They also seem a bit pushy on the drinks and food. We ordered a lot that night because we came right outta work and had dinner there.

Shmeh, food was bar food. We could've gotten McDonald's on the way there, but I guess we wanted to experience the whole shebang.

Cobb's seems to be one of the larger comedy clubs in San Francisco next to the Punchline. The prices here are very fair, and I was able to catch Doug Benson and Brian Posehn for about $22 or so. That's two major acts for about $11 a piece! My favorite local artist, Kris Tinkle, was an opening act for Doug and Brian, so that made it an even better value!

Like most comedy clubs, there is a two drink requirement. So you'll probably have to spend more money than anticipated, but honestly, if you're going out to have fun, you're going to have to spend a few extra bucks.

The staff was friendly, but a little pushy with trying to get more orders out of us. That's cool. They do survive off tips sometimes...

The parking situation wasn't too bad. Our show was supposed to start at 10:15 or so. We literally arrived around the area at 10:10, and found parking within a few minutes. Not too bad!

The best part about this show at Cobb's, was that after the show, I was able to hang out with Tinkle. He brought me upstairs to hang out, and eventually Brian Posehn came up to say whats up too. It was unfortunate that Doug Benson wasn't available. Apparently, he was way too hammered to even move. The upstairs area is pretty relaxing, with a few couches and a bunch of pictures of past time favorite comedians. There was a drawing of Dave Chappelle that was pretty funny too.

I'll most definitely be stopping by for awesome headliners they have here!

I prefer Punchline over Cobb's. I've been here a dozen times, and never had a good experience. Somehow the more popular the comedians are, the less funny they become. I don't know. Tickets are more expensive, parking is difficult, lines are longer, staff is ruder, waitstaff is slower, seats are farther....

This was the first time I have been to a comedy club.  The club itself was decent, but nothing special.  I was in the second row, off to the side, which was great.  The opener, "MC" and main act were all hilarious.  The waitress was not very attentive and I had to literally stop her every time I wanted to order a drink.  Buying the tickets ahead of time was a total rip off, but I don't necessarily blame that on the club.  The drinks and food, however, were overpriced and that was the fault of the club.  But I guess they have to make money somewhere, and I know they weren't benefiting from the $5 in fees I had to pay for each ticket.

Cobb's just doesn't compare to Punchline.

I've seen Dave Chappelle, Pablo Francisco, Dana Carvey, Last Comic Standing's Dat Phan, and B.J. Novak here and can't recall enjoying any of their opening acts. It seems like all the entertaining, local comedians flock to Punchline instead.

PROS:
-All-Star comedians perform here.
-Their french fries are pretty good.

CONS:
-Their tight seating makes you feel crammed in there like sardines in a can. Granted Punchline packs you in there too, but at least you're in an intimate setting, up-close and personal w/ the comedians.
-The space reminds me of Club NV. It doesn't seem entirely clean & is a bit on the shady side...
-The food & drinks are edible, but the only reason I order them is because I have to.
-The crowd consists of a lot of B&T's. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but there were tons of rowdy people from Oakland that kept yelling annoying stuff throughout Dave's show. Combine that w/ Cobbs' large space, and you've got a security squad that has trouble getting a handle on the outbursts.

As you can probably tell, I'm pretty much over Cobb's at this point. They make it difficult to cut ties with since they book some of my favorite comedians, but I'll be attempting to avoid this place at all costs.

Cobb's employs this one doorman who has some sort of personal vendetta against people who drink booze in line, or even when you try to cooperate and take the party a block away. For real. He followed us when we gave up our spot in line and made us pour out our booze in the gutter, prohibition-style, on the threat of being barred from the show that night.

Other than that, though, Cobb's seemed cool. Nothing special. It's bigger than I thought it would be, with a capacity maybe in the high hundreds? Once you're in and they turn the lights down low and Dave Chappelle or whoever comes out and you and everyone around you start really laughing, though, you don't notice where you are. Every once in a while, the cocktail waitress will swing by for a refresh, and when the show is over (always, always get tickets for the latest show possible) you realize you've had a lot of booze and the lights are on and that on the way in they did a bang-up job obscuring the sad truth that Cobb's is kind of dumpy but you're too sauced to care and your sides hurt from laughing so much.

I really shouldn't be leaving a review for Cobb's since our Sunday night Doug Benson/Brian Posehn show was CANCELED due to "plumbing issues" but I'm only leaving the review for one reason - the parking!

Because of all the reviews, we were expecting to park miles away or pay a ridulous amount of money to be in a lot, but to our surprise we found TONS of street parking right around Cobb's. Our spot was literally across the street from the venue, but there were empty FREE spots all over the place. It sucks that the show was canceled, but I just had to let everyone know that parking isn't that bad on Columbus on a Sunday night.

It's not the performers I'm reviewing, it's:
-the size (huge),
-setup (crowded as hell despite it being a large space)
-bar (who served me the cheap stuff??)

Also, and maybe I'm just antisocial..but who is this random dude you're having share table space with me?? I know I came here to laugh and have a good time, but give a sista' some elbow room boyfriend!

Make sure you get here earrrrly for good seats.
Unless I'm going too, in which case, get there late.

If you are going to go here, act like a pro and get here early (because seating is first come first serve) and grab some $3.50 Stella's from the coffee shop next door and drink it in line. Can't beat that with a bat!

I've seen a lot of poo-poo-ing of Cobb's on yelp, and though I understand it i haven't yet experienced anything bad about this place. Am I the luckiest fuck ever to experience the mixed-bag of joy that is Cobb's? My first time here was on a first-date, so I didn't know what to expect--and I wasn't paying attention to any details other than my date's fine ass...

Drinks (standard, 2 minimum variety) came quickly and we were checked upon often (probably because the greatest disappearing drink act ever was pulled by each of us). Avoid "Dirty Orange Martini" unless you are like me (stupid). It's more dirty than orange. The food is, naturally, over-priced but tasty looking to those who've had their 2 drinks already. I'd personally eat anywhere else since it's in North Beach near some quality restaurants (for example, http://www.yelp.com/bi...), and there is no requirement to eat there.

I've always had tickets in-hand before arriving, so I have no comments on the whole customer service / refund policy thing. Get tickets early. Get in line early. You will get MUCH better seats (that they escort you to) that way.

I don't remember who head-lined the first time I was there, but I saw Richard Lewis there last time. Um, he's really old, and was probably good at some point in his career. I won't comment on how lousy he is nowadays since he's likely to expire any minute--judging from his sallow complexion & drawn appearance. Old comedians seem to have a rough go of relating to yougins these days and should probably avoid stories that produce sexual, visual imagery. Dear god, I wanted to poke out my mind's eye.

The people BEFORE the headliners tend to be better, depending upon your line-up, I guess. And if you are so fortunate to be there while a certain "Arthur Gaus" is the MC--heckle him about the Giants and see what happens.

I liked this place. It's kind of small, so I feel like it's pretty intimate. My friend and I arrived ~15 minutes late for the show, and we were seated in the back rows... but we were still pretty damn close to the stage. Tickets for Doug Benson + Brian Posehn were 20.50 each, which I thought was kind of expensive... but whatever, I'm super cheap. The service was okay. My friend and I ordered 1 diet coke each, and the bill was $8. Wuuuut the eff.

We went last night to watch Tommy Davidson. It took me 15 minutes to find parking. So we missed the first five minutes of the opening act. The tables here are meant for two but they force four to a table. The drinks are way over priced! $5.50 for a Corona, I can get a twelve pack for $14. I was a little hungry so I looked in the menu for some pizza. They didn't have any but there food was once again way over priced. I would come here on a full stomach and try to be at the door at least 30 minutes early. By the way Tommy Davidson wasn't that funny. He was repeating himself during his act. His warm ups were funnier.

Came here to see Greg Behrendt on a weeknight. This place is wide so if you arrive early (first come first serve for the show) you will get better seats instead of on the side half way behind the pillars. Drinks were quite strong, especially trying to gobble down the minimum 2 drinks in like an hour. Anything after that would sound funny.

The bathroom was not the best and felt like a public toilet...

Another Cobb's reviewer mentioned they purchased their tickets from Goldstar.  I was intrigued and found tickets for Doug Benson and Brian Posehn for $9.25 + $3.75 service fee.  Goldstar ran out of tickets, so some of my friend bought through Cobb's website and ended up paying something like $24 with all the associated fees.  The only difference?  The tickets I picked up from Will Call were those cheese raffle tickets and the tickets purchased for full price were much nicer.  So, if you don't care about what your actual ticket looks like...

Anyways, we got there at 6:45, when the doors were supposed to open.  Stood outside until about 6:55.  There were only about 10 people in front of us.  Our group of six was given a nice table for six.    Drinks were priced as I'd expect ($5.75 for bottle beer and ~$8 for cocktails).  Try the orange creamsicle.  One sip I was like, hmm, tastes like CM Spiced Rum.  The next sip, I thought, mmm, orange creamsicle.  Waiter was good with the service.  But the actual paying part really bothered me.

Our group of six was given ONE check about 20 minutes before the show ended.  We were four separate entities (2 couples and 2 singles).  So, I spent the next 10 minutes figuring out who owed what and denoting this on the check (luckily I always have a pen with me).  Oh, and the 18% gratuity was included on our bill.

The venue itself is really big.  The other comedy clubs I've been to have a more intimate feeling.  And when I went to use the bathroom, the employee standing next to it told me I had to go downstairs (even though the hostess told us that was the bathroom).  So I trekked downstairs to some bathroom that spelled like urine.

The emcee for the night was funny, but he needed to enunciate better and work on his timing.  But the jokes were pretty good.  Doug Benson was HILARIOUS.  I thought my stomach muscles would be sore the next day from laughing so hard.  Brian Posehn had some funny stuff, but he seemed to rely too much on being crass and having really long stories.  Or, maybe I was just too involved in trying to sort out the check....

I love going to comedy clubs to catch a few chuckles. Cobbs is definitely the place to go. Cobbs ALWAYS has awesome awesome comedians and headliners. A lot of famous comedians perform here too, which is why I go to Cobbs instead of other places. I've seen Greg Behrendt (he wrote, "He's Just Not That Into You," Andy Dick, Craig Robinson (Daryl from The Office), Dustin Diamond (Screech the asshole from Saved by the Bell), and I know they JUST had Russell Peters there. Dammit! I wanted to see him so badly. Anyway, the venue is really big. Food and drinks are alright. I usually just get a beer or soda for the two drink minimum, so I'm not sure how the cocktails taste. The only con is that it's not as intimate as Punchline, but regardless, still a fun place to go to.

Love it here. Great venue. Great acts. The first time here was to see David Spade. Beautiful roomy place. The seats are pretty decently arranged. There is a balcony as well. Drink service is fast and attentive. Food here is actually pretty good, but overpriced. Same goes for their drinks of course. Watered down and expensive. But hey, you are there for the show, not what you eat/drink.

Overall, enjoy this place.

came here a few months ago for my birthday and had a blast- of course we did, we saw Russell Peters!! (he was HILARIOUS!!)

The food here was pretty good, but overpriced. The drinks were watered down and overpriced as well, but what can you expect? That's where they make all the $$$

Be sure to bring your credit card before coming here- you'll need it :P

Excellent service, excellent seats last night for Jeff Garlin. We arrived at around 7:10 for the 8pm show and were suprised to see the club was already open with the downstairs area about half full.

We were given the option of sitting upstairs in the front row of the balcony and it was a great place to be. A nice clear shot of the stage and plenty of room behind us too so we were comfortable.

Jeff Garlin had some fun making fun of the font in their logo which looks circa 1970something and that they missed painting a seam in the backdrop...what, did they run out of black paint? I'm not performing here, ever again...

So he can complain about those things, and the only thing I'll complain about is that as a guest you feel like a part of a comedy machine, move 'em in, get them to order their 2 drinks, move 'em out, NEXT....but it appeared to be a well oiled machine and the staff was really, really nice.

I kind of feel about Cobb's the way I feel about the Shoreline - I'm not coming back here unless some amazing performer  I love is playing here and nowhere else within 100 miles.

We somehow spent over 45 minutes in a line that stretched to the other side of the block, so the crowd wasn't seated until over 30 minutes after the show was to begin. I would have worn something warmer and different shoes if I'd known it was going to be that bad. They seem to have an unnecessarily inefficient seating system and it's massive inside, so I can see why it took so long.

We were seated on the right side of the stage, almost all the way in the back and we had to share our very small round table with the couple in front of us who ordered all kinds of food and drinks so we had barely any room for our own drinks. My margarita tasted like it had about a tablespoon of salt in it, and I was so hot inside that the slightly disappointing performance made me nod off a little bit. Not such a great night out, but I'm giving Cobb's 2 stars because they do get great acts and it's not so terrible that I'd bail on an event like that just because of the poor choice of venue.
